Saying Goodbye to 2019

Another year is almost on the books. We made some big changes, learned some big lessons, and lined ourselves up for a massive 2020. And we couldn’t have done it all without you! Here’s a roundup of what we accomplished in 2019, and what we’re super excited for in 2020.

2019 Blockbusters

Series A Funding

Earlier this year, we raised $5 million in a Series A Financing Round led by Nyca Partners. This investment allowed us to expand our product development, data coverage, and market penetration to further make an impact on the fintech landscape. We were able to improve our offerings across the board to become a one-stop-shop for our customers.

Major Website Upgrades

As our offerings grew, our website got a little…complicated. Because this is the Internet – and let’s be real, we all expect things to be available with one click – we simplified our homepage, the account signup process, our financial data marketplace, and other areas of the site. Now you can get to exactly the information you need, without getting stuck in a labyrinth of dataspeak.

Custom Development Services

Sadly, we’re not all coding magicians. Tons of our customers had brilliant ideas for our data, but not the technical skills to bring their concepts to life. Fortunately, our team is one-fifth coding magician, so we thought, “Why don’t we just build it?” Thus was born our custom development services. You give us your vision, and we build the platform, application, website, etc. to power it.

Widgets

Widgets > an endless stream of stock price data. We introduced five beautiful pre-built widgets that can be downloaded for free. Customize them with the ticker you want and your choice of professional themes. Users who want a higher view count can sign up for a professional plan, which starts at only $9/month. Plus, we unrolled the option to purchase completely custom widgets that are designed for your use case.

New Team Members

We’ve always been proud to have a team that’s passionate about making data accessible and providing a first-class experience for our customers. We kicked that into overdrive this year, hiring new team members to handle data quality, customer success, user experience design, and much more! Get to know our employees on our team page

New Data Products

Not every project requires an ongoing data feed subscription. This year, we rolled out bulk downloads. Users can now download large flat files of clean, high-quality data in one simple transaction. The historical data dates back between five and 50 years and can be redownloaded with daily updates for up to 30 days. We also added more than 20 data feeds this year to give our customers a wider range of options.

New Data Types

From the beginning, our goal has always been to make data accessible – and we have. Now, we’re tackling a new challenge: providing unique datasets that enable our customers to discover hidden alpha and gain a competitive advantage. We’re listening to our customers and tapping into industry trends to find valuable, unusual data that offers fresh opportunities for smart investments, business growth, new revenue streams, and more. Look for massive amounts of new data – especially alternative data – to hit our marketplaces in 2020.

New Access Methods

We’re not stopping with our pioneering API. Our team is constantly searching for the simplest, most efficient methods of data access – so you spend less time managing data and more time using it. Stay tuned to learn more about the state-of-the-art tools we’re building to help you pull data faster and smarter than ever before.

From the team at Intrinio, we thank you sincerely for making 2019 a great year, and we can’t wait to take 2020 by storm.
